The WWdoc editor allows for customization of the WWdoc 6.0 library. Using the editor, authors and production
alike can assign values they create or key to valid, True WWdoc code. The editor doesn't visibly change the
document; rather it records the code replacements into a WW Library (.wwl) file. This file can then
be loaded prior to flowing WWdoc into MathType, allowing the keyed values to be converted on-the-fly into
valid codes recognized by MathMonarch.
When used in conjunction with the MathTag Verification program, the WWdoc editor becomes a powerful tool,
recording replacements for error codes found in a user's document.
There are two ways of using the WWdoc editor:
|
The first method of launching the editor is directly from the Control Center. Under the
Features section, click the "WWdoc Editor" box and click "OK". The Control Center will
close, and the WWdoc Editor window will appear.
|
|
|
An alternate mehtod is to use the WWdoc Editor with MathTag verification.
The option "check for errors with user defined library and launch editor"
will scan the WWdoc in the document for errors, and launch the WWdoc
Editor when it is complete.
|
|
|
After pressing "OK", and Open File Dialog will appear. Locate the library you wish to
open, or type in the name of a library you wish to create.
|
|
The editor window will appear:
From the editor window, you may enter in your own tokens and convert them to valid
WWdoc values, replace valid WWdoc values with alternate WWdoc values, or find appropriate
replacements for errors if MTV was run. Selecting the "Library" radio buttons on the left
chooses what source you want to replace from: errors from the document, WWdoc values,
or a custom token. Please note that custom tokens must include delimiters ('|','!','~', or '*')
to be valid. If you are replacing a function, note that the possible replacements must
be updated based on the number of delimiter pair that function has. Once you have
made your selection, click the white arrow to add the replacement to your library.
Note that once your replacement has been made, the token will disappear from the source
list as one entry cannot have two possible replacements. To remove or change the replacement,
click on the item in the "Existing Library Changes:" box and hit the remove button. The
item will be placed back in the "WWdoc:" source list.
When you have made all of the replacements
you need, press "done" and your changes will be saved.
