What is MathMonarch? MathMonarch is a data conversion application that is native to Microsoft Word. By using such an interface, MathMonarch inherits the ability to utilize the Word API, as well as managing a document in the most common authoring application. Documents that are keyed in an ASCII format can be easily imported into this source, allowing MathMonarch to operate exclusively on the mathematical equations without making changes on any other content. The changes made on these equations would be to format them in such a way that an alternate source, often another authoring or a production source, can either natively understand or import these same ASCII equations without the loss of any content. This conversion addresses the issue of getting equations from an author document into a production tool while still keeping the equations editable. Furthermore, this allows for a full roundtrip process of keeping the equations out of the production source and in that same editable fashion, put them in the hands of either the author or the consumer. The process is automated, eliminating possible error by manual conversion. Standards MathMonarch Supports MathMonarch is fully compliant on import to and export from WWdoc in the following formats:
Though each language proposes its own unique strengths and weaknesses,
MathMonarch is able to convert each of these standards into WWdoc. Rather
than write individual conversion processes for each possible permutation
of the supported standards, WWdoc is used as the common ground. This allows
for a more precise import and export, as the focal point language of WWdoc
is robust and all-inclusive language. When the equations are in the desired
destination format, the user can flow the document via a full conversion
process or manual paging into the program of their choice. |
